About

You know how we use brand names to mean a type of product, even if it isn’t that particular brand name?  It’s like when you ask for a Kleenex, when it may be a different brand of facial tissue.  Or when you do an internet search by “googling” something.  Ever refer to making copies as “Xeroxing”?  When you ask for a soda pop, do you ask for a Coke?

That’s kind of what we mean by “D&D”.  Sure, it’s a brand and a trademark of Wizards of the Coast.  But how many times do you say you’re going to play D&D when it may be another game altogether, like GURPS?

Yeah, that’s what we thought.  That’s okay.  We do it too.  That’s why we’re here.  To celebrate D&D in all its forms, even when it isn’t D&D.  We’re here to champion settings.  And we’re here as a reminder that gaming is FUN!

Our Mission

The D&D Nexus is a celebration of the worlds that make up Dungeons & Dragons.  It’s a place where we can come together, have some fun, and not worry about setting and edition wars. We believe that gamers of all walks of life can come together to talk about the fun we have gaming.

We are also a hub to various fan sites that support their respective settings.  These guys do a lot of work to keep interest alive, and we want to do all we can to support them.

The Invitation

So come with us, friends, on a journey through the realms of the imagination.  Travel with us through the desert wastes of Athas, realms long forgotten, the planar city of Sigil, and through the crystal spheres.  Embrace the gothic horror of Ravenloft, pulp fantasy stories of Eberron, and the high tale of the Dragonlance.

Step into the Nexus.  The portal to worlds beyond the imagination await!
